Amtrak Hiawatha project environmental assessment to be released

In Southern California, the Sierra Club is highly supportive of railroad projects.

Citizen support for the recently opened and highly utilized Expo Light
Rail Line originated from the Sierra Club Transportation Committee and
battles were fought against Community Opponents for 2 decades.

The Sierra Club is also supportive of two double track projects in the
San Fernando Valley (Raymer to Bernson and Roxford to Brighton) and other
rail projects in the Southern California.
