A note on scanners....I used to spend a lot of time re-programming my old 10 channel scanner for trips to different RR's around the country. Then I bought a 200 channel scanner and programmed all 100 AAR frequencies into it and they are good for most RR's accross the country. A frequency assigned to a RR in CA may also be used by different RR back east.
