I doubt SMART would oppose thru shipments of propane in tank cars provided all the nanny had been performed.

This is just one of the many skirmishes we will see between SMART and NCRA-NWP. Both would wish the other just die and blow away. As effed up as is SMART and guaranteed money losing I suggest it will prevail in a sense. ABAG wants low-income(read ghetto section 8)everywhere in the Bay Area including the Northbay. That and other is going to be shoehorned right up against the grain elevators. Those housing blocks and moreover general yuppification means the end ultimately of most traditional agriculture save trendy wine grapes in the Northbay IMHO.

SMART set the tone when it went for 115lb. rail instead of 136lb. I got flamed for that remark but in reality I prefer 136. So cool to see some streetcars on the real high rail.
