"BNSF Detector" on New England Central Railroad?

Last week I rode Amtrak's Vermonter between Hartford CT and White River Junction VT. I was listening to my scanner. At milepost 116.0 (south of Brattleboro VT) and milepost 166.4 (not of Claremont Junction NH, the detector audio was "BNSF detector, Milepost ..."

Now we know for sure this is not BNSF. It is New England Central Railroad, a Genesee & Wyoming company. Was Central Vermont before 1995, and Central Vermont/Boston & Maine joint operation before 1987.

Why did the voice say "BNSF"?? Anyone know?
