This is a really good cab ride video shot in 1993 aboard Amtrak 5 from Sacramento to Oakland.

The engineer is an ex-SP man.

The Youtube link is cued up to start right where the action starts. The video of the ride lasts a good 20 minutes.

Enjoy the scenery and enjoy the conversation with a friendly engineer from The Friendly. This guy even lived once at the SP company town at Norden -- wow.
