The Key pier was finished several months prior to the new cars arriving. There were trips to the pier for employees, the press and maybe others using 1000, 20 and 21. That would have been in 1903. After that most fans were riding revenue equipment, excursions were not needed. After WWII local railroads were very generous with running excursions. Many interesting excursions were run. So many were run that the local fan groups got toghther to coordinate sechduling.
