MARC CAFE PARLOR CARS QUESTION

Some yrs ago, boarding MARC at Brunswick station was delighted to find a very inviting cafe parlor car on the back end of the train..What? on a commute train? Next trip..it was gone.. Are those cars in use again, in storage, and anyone know of any such cars on any other commute RR allowing that LI once ran them... back when .. and now the coming bar cars for the New Haven commuters.
