Unfortunately, after this year's round of store closures, Orchard Supply Hardware itself is not available in very many places. Casualty of proximity to Lowes stores in many cases, since Lowes bought OSH several years ago. Too bad, because OSH carried a lot of odd items that are otherwise unobtanium other than at a real hardware store (extremely endangered species) or online (with considerable hunting and more trust with credit card numbers than is really justified).

Same thing has happened with electronic parts. The last old-fashioned electronic parts store in Sacramento closed late last year (Metro Electronics), so the only option now is online with considerable shipping charges for small stuff.
