Nudge, Trump said a whole lot of hateful stuff about America, about our railroads, our generals, our military, our military heros like John McCAin, our political leaders. The common denominator was that he would say whatever he felt like saying without any respect for norms or decorum if he thought it would get him some press, make him look tough, give him a sense of victory over his political opponents. I think the man embarrassed our country and was completely out of line. And now that he's won the election, we are getting a lot of people repeating the same kind of anti-American rhetoric and hey, maybe it would be a good idea to push back on that?

I have no problem with anyone who voted for Trump. I don't call them racists and sexists. Hey, most republicans simply voted for their party. And Hillary was not so great a candidate. But you can bet that any other republican would probably have beat Hillary and there would not be this kind of revulsion with them like there is with Trump. I certainly wouldn't be posting this.

The Thanksgiving message Trump put out is just more of the same. He says whatever suits him in the moment. One moment he's attacking media outlets with lies (the man lies all the time) then he's sending a message of uniting the country. He can't be bothered to be briefed on national security issues by people who would come to his office to do so. But he can find time to have a meeting with the heads of our major media outlets so he can dress them down off the record and then leak his version of the meeting to a paper. It's ridiculous and embarrassing.

He went on and on on the campaign about how he would never let "you" down. He said he would put his business in a blind trust. He condemned Hillary as corrupt. What does he do when he gets elected? He starts having meetings with representatives of foreign governments and wants to talk to them about his private business issues, to lobby them for preferential treatment. He has his daughter, who will run his companies, sit in on a meeting with the Japanese P.M. He tells the nytimes that the President cannot have any conflicts of interest.

It's just ridiculous we got conned and Trump didn't waste any time letting us know the extent of how badly we were duped.
