Back in June 1989, my fiancée and I drove over the Coast Range for a day trip. We rode the Oregon Coastline Express between Wheeler and Tillamook. It was a tourist train operation on the Port of Tillamook Bay Railroad. The train was just one car: an ex-SP commute gallery coach rebuilt as a table car for dinner train service. Ex-SP Alco C-415 2407, renumbered to 702, supplied the motive power. This shot in Tillamook was taken when the engine was running around the passenger car. It was my only photo of the Alco without the huge flags.
In the background, you can see POTB 4381 resting between trips in freight service. Both units still had their full SP light packages. It was a nice day on the coast.
