Do you know if Capitol Corridor Surfliner or San Joaquin management have considered buying the old Santa Fe fleet now owned by Corridor Capital?
it seems like it would be faster, cheaper and easier to acquire these cars than build brand new ones.
In addition to the 50-60 cars Corridor Capital has I believe there are a few others out there I've seen a couple in Dallas two years ago and PRS I think owns one transition car
that they will probably never be able to restore The Pacific Parlor Cars owned by Amtrak
might also be available some day when they become to expensive for Amtrak to repair
