I am a traction and steam fan - never cared much for diesels. To me they belong to the natural and visceral enemy of traction, GM.

In the case of the NWP its day in the sun is over; the SP recognized that. The rich, toney crowd that occupies the Northbay is not into industry or ag, apart from a few celebrity wine grapes.

The Northbay needs a real electric rail transit line which has to go to the mother of magnet destinations, SF. Replace the trunk GGT #101 line.

This thing will be decades in the playing out; it will take the current good ol' boys, wheeler-dealers and party bosses like Bosco to be replaced by a younger bunch. I'll be doggone and long gone.
