Rolland is correct about the alternating schedule. They currently have one crew for train service, so you no longer see both jobs working on a given day like we used to. This week, the Switcher runs to Plummer M/W/F, and the Branch Train runs to Clarkia Tue/Thu. Next week the days are supposed to flip. The sooner you can visit the better. Hillsides are beginning to turn brown, roads are getting dusty, field burning on the CdA reservation starts soon, and wildfire season is off to an early start. All of these conditions can turn north Idaho's sunny, blue summer sky into an L.A. haze for a couple of weeks.
