That reminds me of the Milwaukee Road Lines West story, where a couple of grain cars derailed ( no surprise there ) on St. Paul Pass and dropped down into the St. Joe River and surrounding area. After a winter covered in snow, the grain started to ferment into a nice mash which attracted the bears, hungry after a long winters' hibernation. The result : DRUNK BEARS !!! The Forest Service graciously allowed the Train & M of W crews to carry sidearms until the mash was gone.
