You've nailed it- pretty much still the same today. If the general public knew how much they were paid for how few hours they worked, they'd be huge lines of folks standing in line for those jobs. This union is the last of the dinosaurs who are still unafraid to use strong-arm tactics to get their way. But nobody, not the PMA or government, wants to mess with them. Hopefully, they'll get a new contact negotiated and resume 'normal' production without causing too much trouble.
