In the past, this has been a normal substitution of equipment whenever a Talgo Trainset needs to have heavy servicing performed. Since the 510/517 Seattle to Vancouver, B.C. run does not run through to Portland and layover at night, it is the easiest one to borrow its Talgo Trainset from and substitute Superliner equipment.
