With all the recent rain we have been having I thought I would re-post one of my old thread from West Coast Rail Forums.

I was in Watsonville on business yesterday and was heading west on W. Beach Street on my way home when I spotted SC&MB at the North Star Biofuels plant. They had just picked up a loaded refrigeration car at Lineage and were now pulling two empty tank cars from North Star. It was just beginning to rain so I decided to chase them to shoot them in the rain.








The next stop was Big Creek Lumber where there was an empty centerbeam car to pull before all the cars were taken to the interchange at Watsonvile Junction. The F-units look great after a bath in the rain. Reminds me of when they were first painted.










I next caught up with them as they pulled on to Walker Street.






At Watsonville Junction they cut the cars they brought in and picked up two loaded tank cars for North Star.






I tried to stay ahead of them on the way back to Watsonville, but the rain picked up considerably and traffic started to slow and they passed me at the Riverside Drive crossing.




I caught up with them at the siding by Big Creek where they cut the two tank cars and would store all three on the main.




I had to head back to Aptos and took the road along the coast so I could drop by the La Selva bridge jobsite. I am pleased to report DCCI was able to erect bent 4 before the rain started and it is looking more like a bridge every day.
