Making a blanket comparison between Sanchez and either the Admiral or the Commodore is insulting to railroaders in general. Sanchez was a total f***ing idiot, which I can say from first-hand experience and you can't. Both the Admiral and the Commodore were off a considerable amount of time, long enough to come close to losing their homes (frequently both the wife and family follow after the home disappears). Both were subject to needling from their co-workers ever after, which again I can say from first-hand experience. All you can do is advocate tucking your tail between your legs and running away to hide.
And BTW, that guy who nodded off and sent the LIRR (or Metro North) train off the tracks on that curve was retired on a disability. So you got your wish there.
