I'd be happy if the 4449 were moved to Bayshore to a restored/rebuilt/new roundhouse, where it could roam freely on CalTrain trackage every weekend. Or, further south where it can run on Metrolink rails north of Los Angeles to Oxnard...and maybe Santa Barbara.

Maybe the UP would allow an exception to its "no foreign power" rule on the Coast Line where the 4449 was home (and there isn't much freight traffic in the way.)

On home rails. Where God intended her to run.

At 79 MPH. (maybe even 90 one day.)
