Most of the Train Maters were scrapped around 1975 at a long-gone yard in Benicia with some of their engines reclaimed and sold for further use such as in off-shore oil wells. Two of the big FM's 3027 and, I think 3020, were modified for use as "braking sleds" in West Colton.
