Nah, eucalyptus is very oily and makes Terrible fireplace firewood. OTOH the devastating 1991 Oakland hills fire (and others in Australia) show how deadly a forest of these trees can be.

There are plenty of eucalyptus trees on the big island of Hawaii where also they have displaced native species. Hopefully no fire is in their future.
