Stockton, Ca currently has two separate stations a couple of miles apart , both served by Amtrak (different routes). One is also served by a local commuter agency.

Perhaps, they ought to combine these into a new "Union" station at the junction where the old SP main (ACE Train) and the ATSF (Amtrak) crossed (the former site of the Stockton tower). The other Amtrak service uses the ATSF to SP connector at this junction; thus all trains could call upon the same station.

Any thoughts?
