Milwaukee Road Trestle - Rest in Pieces

Dismantling of the Milwaukee Rd S Curve trestle will begin in a fury, later this week, or early next week, as the new Tacoma Sounder Bridge is open for business.

The first train crossed about 10:45 pm on Tuesday 2/22/17. Next up was the first revenue train, Tacoma Rail's Hill job on Wednesday morning, and the first Sounder crossed in the afternoon.

Once I get caught up with photo and video editing (and work), I'll post links to my collection of construction photos that will include the opening trains.
