At least some of the equipment and catenary is Italian.

Multi-bladed rotaries are fairly common in Europe.

The one shown here may be a Beilhack, made in Switzerland, but used in many European countries.

See here for some HO models of Beilhack rotaries (from a U.S. store):

Beilhack models at Reynauld's Euro Imports

I'm not aware of any Beilhack plows in use in the U.S., so the models painted and lettered for U.S. roads are probably fantasy -- or sales tools!

The plows have the body mounted on a pivot. So, when stopped at a place with enough clearance, the entire body with the plow assembly can pivot 180 degrees to face in the opposite direction.

The Beilhack plows are sef-propelled, but in heavy snow often also have an engine pushing.
