NP in Snohomish

Recommend observing the bridge over the Snohomish River. Unique structure.

Reportedly, BNSF, maybe BN, gave the feed mill spur including the drawbridge, to the City of Snohomish.

Who is inspecting and maintaining the drawbridge, not as an operating drawbridge, but as a structure that could well head West with the river during the next annual flood?

For collectors of bridge trivia, it is a steel truss drawbridge with the track on the upper level.

This bridge was permitted / built when the Snohomish was a navigable river (flat-bottomed stern wheelers) By the time GN built their bridge a short distance to the East, the river was no longer legally navigable; therefor their bridge is fixed and much closer to the river.

Any readers with the Corps of Engineers, Rivers and Harbors?
