The proliferation of stations up and down the line make this more like a streetcar line as we stumble forward.

Between grade crossings and more station stops overall speeds will be lower to the point where express buses on HOV lanes will be quite competitive in travel time and cheaper to operate with one man.

Quasi-TOD bs deals like this one just tighten the noose of yuppification around the grain elevators which are the mainstay of NWP freight business. Ritchie ritches, yoga yuppies, hell even the section 8 crowd have no use for ag and industry. They want housing blocks where the grain elevators stand.
