Dashing north through Bear Creek, CCT 1790 handles a train for Lodi with a consist completely made up of boxcars. At one point, a switch diverged from the Central Valley Branch at this location and veered to the Bear Creek Winery (at left but not in the frame). The switch has long been removed, but with a good imagination, you can almost visualize Pacific Fruit Express refrigeration cars being spotted at the winery as if it were the middle of the 20th Century.
