Way north of Tunnel 4. North of Moyie Springs and U.S.2, where the track hangs high above the Moyie River, not the Kootenai. Gonna be a quiet night behind the house, unless they keep bringing northbounds up and parking them at Clagstone, Vay, or Sandpoint. Imagine they'd want to keep Bonners Ferry clear for whatever MofW equipment might be moving in and out of there. Limited space at Moyie Springs and Meadow Creek. Eastport has been a logjam lately, too many trains and not enough track, CP not able to take northbounds that UP is trying to push north from Spokane. Hopefully the gravel slopes and rock ledges between Tunnels 1 and 4 hold together; everything is saturated here right now. Waved at a southbound oil train during my evening walk last night. Thank goodness that one didn't end up the way this morning's grain train did. Talked to our buddy Fred a few minutes ago. Things aren't much better on his railroad. Minor washout a few days ago. And over on the Columbia River Sub, a grain elevator at Edwall collapsed.
