The article says the "Amtrak" car is owned by NWP so I guess it was never repainted. Did NWP buy the cars for a future passenger service.
Are they trapped in Willits because the track is not in good enough condition to move them south to Santa Rosa for possible resale?
I'm guessing that the area wasn't very secure and fire could have been started by homeless people living in it or people that just like to set fires.
