A couple years ago there was some interest from some of the SJRRC commissioners in purchasing a house or some sort of dormitory arrangement as an ACE crew layover facility instead of using the hotel. Haven't heard anything about it in a while, as they have had turnover of their elected officials on the commission. But with Bay Area real estate prices it would be really pricey.
