At INEL museum near Arco, Idaho. A1A-A1A with same electro-mechanical system as a GE 44 ton. This was used to move experimental atomic jet turbine engines in and out of shop to test cells. The prototype power plants (two on display also) were prototypes to build an atomic powered jet bomber that didn't need fuel so could stay up indefinitely. They don't admit to ever building the plane itself, but the reactors would only have primary shielding and the cockpit would have the secondary shielding. Due to weight issues, there was a similar proposal for locomotives as far as primary and secondary shielding. Wasn't the cold war fun? Little did anyone realize the dangers of radiation, asbestos and the like at the time.

The left half of the locomotive has the pair of CAT D17000s - the right half is the shielded operators cab. The gantry in the middle is used to open the cab "door". Must have been claustrophobic as hell. The front only has a similar sized portal window as I recall looked to be almost a foot thick. Built by GE in 1954, the only one I know of.
