Did not catch on?

In Southern California they were installed at Los Nietos, DT junction, Colton and the LAJ crossing of the UP branch. I'm sure there are more I don' know about.

One surprise is the crossings at Hobart are being replaced by regular diamonds. Current traffic level would seem to support the use of OWL (flange bearing) crossings.
Is there a restriction on there low-speed side use on any line with lots of long cars? The old UP Harbor Sub may be considered a backup to the Trench in case of an incident.
