PTJ Mistake ???

Cliff Claven just delivered the latest issue of Passenger Train Journal magazine, issue 2017 - 2. On page 30 there appears a photo of a Southern Pacific passenger train, in Daylight colors and shot in full sun, at the Phoenix, AZ., depot. The number board on the lead E - Unit clearly shows 40, which would be The Eastbound Imperial. Yet the caption describes the train as "...the Eastbound Golden State ". Oops ?!?
