The actual train they jumped on is/was the Magma Arizona Railway running west out of Superior, AZ. The railroad is currently shutdown but still intact. The white locomotive seen in the movie is still around, its at a railroad museum in the Phoenix area. It still runs and they start her up at least once per month.
