I rode the car from Oakland to Reno and back. The decor grows on you. I sat at a little desk in the observation room trying to channel Beebe with my laptop. As a retired writer, I figured if anyone could channel the big man it would be me.

No luck.

Great car to ride, though, and Wade has an interesting coterie of repeat passengers. I'm sorry if it's been mothballed.
