Sorry if link doesn't work. But if you look up Dakota southern on YouTube you can pick out the Alco vids from the thumb nails. But the 213 is the most interesting locomotive I have ever ran. Love the long hood forward controls. The absolute best set up for a short line that anyone could ask for. If you have to run a motor both ways in a shift it is so nice. Your view out short hood is so much better account you can look out the door way instead of thru a window. Can talk to your ground man when he is on that corner. That alco can pull as well. It can handle same tonnage as that heavy ex-sp sd9 we have. And uses less fuel. It does not have the hi-ad trucks. Would be interesting to see how she would pull with those. The anti-slip on her only worked about half the time account she had been thru a fire before we got her. And you could see whomever had done the rewrite had stopped when mostly done with the anti-slip. It was owned by a car shop at the time. Always wondered if they stopped the rewire account they didn't need the anti-slip or because they ran out of money. The Dsrc picked her up from a bankruptcy shortly after the electrical work was done.
