Well, Jason, some of the responses to your inquiry may have been "mean" but the point about the work environment in the RR industry is accurate: you need a thick skin to make it on the "big" RR. Railroaders can be some of the meanest SOB's you'll ever come across - but this comes from years of sacrifice and hard work only to get screwed by the RR time and time again. Its a tough life. Think long and hard about if this is REALLY what you want to do....
