Seems like old times. I was on Train # 3 way back in 1985, when one of the F40's died 30 minutes out of Chicago. Despite passing through several locations where a Santa Fe unit could have been added, " someone " decided to run the train all the way up onto Raton Pass, wherein we stalled and sat for several hours until a Santa Fe unit ( which I had spotted in La Junta during our station stop ) rolled up and hooked onto the point for the rest of the trip to Los Angeles. I recall we were 6+ hours late.
