As of when I retired last year, it was 3 days. "Peer support" is just that--coworkers who want to be helpful if you're having issues--but it's management who must decide you can take off.

Just as a frame of reference, my "score" during 28 years with Amtrak: 22 incidents, including 7 fatalities. Pretty much par for the course...
