People nowadays do not respect schedules or how their actions affect other people. No one wants to take responsibility for their actions. There is always a "why doesn't the train wait for me?" attitude. Just because someone is in the parking lot doesn't make them on time to ride the train. They are supposed to be standing on the platform ready to board when the train comes in. This video is a classic example of why Amtrak long distance trains run late. What should have been a 2 minute stop becomes a 5 minute stop. Do that at ten stops and you're running 30 minutes late. Personally I think the conductor is being nice in holding the train for the people.
