Honestly, trucking is the way to go cost wise anyway. The time and cost to tie down and move a locomotive on a flatcar has gotten ridiculous.

Unless there is a ramp nearby, you'll need a crane or two to load it. Call that $10-12K. Probably $20-30K to truck it, depending on distance.

So you're $30K in on purchase plus at least that much to move.
