Back in the mid 60's one of the linemen was given the job of replacing the telephones in a bunch of those concrete phone booths across the desert. "What do I do with the old ones?" "Just chuck 'em." They were writing desk phones. He made a deal with an antiques dealer and for a while doubled his salary.
