I searched the Brookside Ice Co. located next to the Broadway Garage and found this
film.
Note especially near the end of this film where the demolition of the Brookside Ice Co. quarters on Broadway St. and the old Broadway Garage at 261 Broadway is underway. This demolition was clearing the way for the new larger Broadway Garage which was built in 1925 at 259 Broadway. The Buicks were delivered to the new building in 1928. Now I see why the editing was done to the Buick film showing the garage at an earlier time just before demolition, not having film of the new structure.
The gas pump in front of the Broadway Garage
Current view
Current view of the 1925 Broadway Garage sitting on the Brookside Ice Co. site across the street from the above images. The man at the gas pump would have been standing near the end of this building adjacent to the church, but at an earlier time than 1928. Now I wonder about the NYC freight house location and where the Buicks were actually picked up, after seeing the drive through the countryside prior to their arrival on Broadway St.
