UP Sunset Route Traffic?

Hi everyone,

I am looking to travel between San Diego & Phoenix next week. What is the traffic like on the UP's Sunset Route right now? Any idea of rough train counts and types of trains?

I have never railfanned this line & was wondering if it is worth taking a day to explore...
