... no, its not up on the prairie (Grangeville area), and no its not in Lewiston/Clarkston either! The new mill is to be at Lyons Ferry, on the Snake River. Whats that you say, you never noticed an abundance of trees in that area? ... well that's cuz there really isn't any forest there. This new mill will use wheat straw as the base material for the pulp it produces. And in that area there really isn't anything else besides wheat farms and the Snake River, and of course the railroad. That RR is now part of Watco's Great Northwest Railroad, which now runs from a UP connection at Ayer Jct to Lewiston ID. GNWRR also serves as a connection to the more remote eastern remnants of the Camas Prairie RR, but there is not really a lot of activity on those lines at this point.
