FTA isn't saying, but the Feds have not provided the funding for the
extension ... yet

Some have claimed they have concerns about SMART's financial viability
and the traffic in downtown San Rafael associated with the train crossing
2nd/3rd Ave.

Don't know for sure, but Farhad did tell the SMART Board if they don't get
the funding by the fall, they might have renegotiate the contracts. It's there
in the minutes to one of the meetings this summer for those that want to check.

I also don't know what the MTC does with its $20 MM share if FTA walks.
