One I used to hear on the radio quite frequently was:

"BNSF Stockton Sub Dispatcher to the AMTK 7##. X in box 2. Proceed from CTC Oakley to CTC Port Chicago on the main, M-A-I-N, track. Over."

Then someone would read the order back to the dispatcher. From what I remember of the few times I rode Amtrak, the conductor was the one reading the track warrant back to the dispatcher.
