Jack, that comment deserves a big Ten-Four (Good Buddy) on this date of 10/4.
As for BNSF and Flying J, there's an interesting connection here in my local turf. Back in the late 90s when the proposed Hauser, ID, refueling facility was fighting its way through the approval process, it was noted on more than one occasion by a number of rail and non-rail participants that Hauser Yard might one day host an intermodal facility, and that the yard's proximity to a Flying J truck stop along I-90 just east of the WA/ID state line was considered a plus for that plan. Fuel taxes being cheaper in ID than WA, lots and lots of truck traffic passing through on I-90, U.S. 95, and local roads running right past Hauser, etc. Hauser has been refueling trains since 2004, no intermodal site has broken ground there, and the local Flying J now has a Love's truck stop for competition.
