If you are interested in the follow-up to Lac-Megantic disaster in Quebec (47 dead after overweight and under-braked oil train ran away) the criminal trial involving the engineer and two other railroad employees has been underway for three weeks. They are each charged with 47 counts of criminal negligence causing death. There are several interesting articles that can be found by going to "Lac-Megantic trial" on Google News.
From what I've read it appears that the railroad company (the former Montreal, Maine and Atlantic) itself probably should be a criminal defendant also. Unclear at this point whether that may happen later.
