Vegas wouldn't even bet on those odds-- they would have to pay out to everyone. G&W is a master at "connecting the dots" in their portfolio. This one would connect to the Meridian & Bigbee on the north end, and provide a direct outlet to the recently-acquired majority stake in CG Railway, which operates rail barge service between Mobile and Mexico.

The line between Meridian and Waynesboro is currently operated by the Meridian Southern and the track is in pretty bad shape. That portion will need to rebuilt for the line to handle a serious amount of traffic.
